Some swimmers search for an extremely snug wetsuit that lets in a minimal amount of water. As a result, they end up using a wetsuit that is too tight and too small… sacrificing comfort.
So, how can you achieve maximum compression and suppleness?
Compression to limit the amount of water entering the suit and suppleness to eliminate the feeling of constriction so you can move and breathe freely.
The principal of this technology is to use large tight fitting neoprene panels (#39 Compressed Dome Rubber) integrated with small strips of #40 neoprene.
The ART is made with 3 different Yamamoto neoprene’s: Compressed Dome, GIGA #40 and #39. This close fitting, yet very supple model has been designed for even better efficiency. The ART has a snug fit thanks to the new “Blue” textile which makes it stronger and tighter, as well as the coating of Dome Neoprene. The vertical strip of GIGA #40 has been widened by 30%. The collar, made of GIGA #40 has a new “Revolving Collar” which positions the front of the collar forward by 20 degrees and is 2cm lower allowing for more comfort and reducing the entry of water through the collar area. Another feature is the Flash System on the back of the neck to prevent chafing and aide in the opening of the zipper. The shoulders are made of GIGA #40 to allow maximum flexibility for totally free movement. The forearms have the “Aero Design Propeller” to provide a better catch of the water during the pulling phase of the stroke. Like most Aquaman models, the zipper on the back opens from bottom to top.
Bigger Velcro behind the neck for easier closure.
